Creative Travel Guide App Designer - Upwork

Hello there!

My name is Katie.  I am a international traveller and entrepreneur and could use an extra pair of hands to help me stay on top of my projects.  I'm looking for a virtual assistant who is also an excellent communicator, efficient, and internet-savvy.  The first tasks will be creating beautiful travel guide apps using content from blogs and social media.

Once we've established a good flow for those tasks, the work will expand to include more design and broader industry research.  If we work well together, there is definitely room to evolve the role.

If this sounds like the sort of thing you're into, I've included a small sample task below which should take 20-30 minutes, for you to get an idea for what the work is like and for me to evaluate your proficiency.  If hired, you will receive a starting bonus of $10 for successfully completing the task.   

Create a free account on guidebook.com and "continue without a template."  Using content from any of the bloggers listed below, create a destination guide with a cover image, icon and at least one "Custom List" with at least on "Item" with a photo, description and Google Map location.   For example, you could create a "Travel Bunny Guide to Vietnam" with a Custom List titled "What To See in Mui Ne" and an item containing a photo, description, and location of the White Dunes (as per this post: http://bit.ly/2mRj97E).

Once you've done that, select "Preview on Your Device" and send me the passphrase in your reply to the posting (e.g. cf8ivudn) so I can see your work.

If you would like an idea of what the full app-building experience will be like once you are hired, I've included a few completed examples below.  I pay between $10 and $30/app built (and they usually take 2-3 hours to build).  I would like to start with a fixed project of 5-10 apps (depending on your time availability) but am happy to discuss work flows as they may change.
